Half a week in Wales...

I'm back in London now and counting down the days till I'm back in California (I almost wrote "till I'm back in St Andrews", I miss it so much).

I spent the first half of this week visiting a friend in Wales. I hadn't seen her in over five years so it was great to meet her again. We had a really nice time. The first couple days were really warm and we went to Barry Island Beach on one of those days. The weather was perfect for it. There was a theme park there as well and

we sat on every ride that was open, including one that had us hang in the air upside down and one in which we were standing on the edges of a vertical wheel where the only thing that kept us from falling was centrifugal force.

The next day we went on a tour of Cardiff Castle. We took the premium tour which included a look into some of the exquisite rooms inside the castle. They were all done up and furnished. There was a Dining room, a Banquet hall, an evening smoking room, a bedroom and bathroom, a nursery and two sitting rooms. All marvellously decorated. The outside was lovely as well. There was a large keep in the centre that was in ruins, but it still looked lovely.
The day after we spent walking around the city centre.

So, now I'm back in London again.  Planning on going into the city tomorrow, to do some shopping. And then I'll have to get ready to leave.
